Heel Spurs / Plantar Fasciitis

Many people suffer from plantar fasciitis, including athletes like Bryant, Parker, and Pau Gasol. In fact, Gasol had to suspend 20 games due to this condition. Patients with plantar fasciitis often experience sharp heel pain, particularly in the area near the heel. The pain can intensify with pressure, and it is especially noticeable in the morning. Taking a few steps typically worsens the discomfort.

Causes of Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is often caused by repetitive strain and stress on the plantar fascia, the thick band of tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot. Over time, this constant pulling leads to small tears, causing inflammation and pain, especially near the heel. Common risk factors include prolonged standing, high-impact activities, improper footwear, and being overweight. Heel spurs, previously linked to plantar fasciitis, are now believed to result from compression rather than tension on the fascia.

How to Treat Plantar Fasciitis?

  • Massage the soles of your feet
  • Use a massage ball for foot massage

Treatment Protocol

For heel spurs or plantar fasciitis, the treatment should focus on the heel, the edge of the hind foot, and the soles of the foot. There are four key treatment points. Each treatment site should be treated for 6-8 minutes, twice a day.

We recommend treating for about 30 minutes per session, twice a day. One treatment cycle lasts for seven days, with a two-day break between each session. We suggest a total of three treatment cycles. After the initial improvement, you can continue with consolidation treatments.

  • Place the device on the following areas for 6-8 minutes each.
  • Above the heel, with four treatment points to cover.

The results may vary, so continue using it. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us – we’re here to help!
